Getting Started
How does Home Court Training Center work?
- Broadly speaking HCTC has two sides to the business. The Basketball side and the Training side.
- The Basketball side can be further broken down into recurring daily skill development classes for all ages and skill levels, the open court (pick-up games and/or get shots up by yourself), charity tournaments, week-long camps, and seasonal leagues held throughout the year.
- The Training side can be broken into Athlete Development classes for our more athletic populations, Group Training classes for our clients with different fitness levels or goals, and Personal Training for clients that need more individual coaching.
- You can sign up for recurring monthly class memberships or purchase sessions as you go.
- You can also sign up for an Open Court membership and simply use the facility to play pick-up basketball during our Open Court times
- When purchased, sessions are added to the member’s account and deducted each visit.
- Family memberships are available and linkable so that tracking sessions are easy for the whole family.
How do I get started?
-
- There are a couple of ways you can get started at Home Court Training Center. The easiest way is to go to our website, or download the Home Court app on your device, and you can quickly Register yourself or your family members, sign our waiver, and take a look at our Training Programs, Pricing, and Schedule.
- If you know what membership option or package is right, you can purchase and reserve specific class times right from our app or website.
- If you would like to register and/or pay in person at the gym that works too. It just takes a few minutes and you’re ready to go.
- You can also sign up for a Free Assessment with one of our certified Trainers before you jump into one of our classes.
How do the memberships and packages work?
- Once you purchase a membership or package there are sessions credited to your account. Any time you check-in at Home Court one of your sessions will be deducted. When you get close to running out of sessions on your account you will be alerted at check-in and sent an email reminder. If you want to get more sessions simply purchase them from our handy app, website, or in-person at the gym.
What if I have multiple family members?
Multiple family members can be linked to the same membership or package. On arrival, each member of the family should be checked in at the front desk and the system will track sessions accordingly.
Is there plenty of parking?
Yes! There is ample parking and child pick-up is safe and efficient.
Do all my family members have to sign a waiver?
Short answer…yes. Long answer…yes, please and thank you. ☺
Do you have changing rooms or restrooms?
Yes we do
What are your hours of operation?
Please check our schedule for class times.
What if I want to bring a friend?
Bring them on! Friends are always welcome.
How do I pay?
-
- Clients may make payments in person at the gym.
- Clients may also make payments online through our website or app.
- Debit, ACH, and all major credit cards accepted.
What if I need to cancel a class/session I reserved?
-
- We certainly understand that things happen from time to time and keeping appointments can be difficult, especially when kids are involved. If you have reserved a spot in one of our classes we ask that you please give us a minimum of 24 hours of notice if you have to cancel your session so that we may alert those on a waiting list that they may join the class.
- Cancelling can be done quickly and easily through our app or website calendar.
Kids
How old do my kids need to be to participate?
-
- Ages 6 and up are welcome on our basketball court! Check our schedule for the appropriate classes for young athletes.
- The Group Training classes are suitable for most people ages 15 and up.
- The Athlete Development programs are currently for Middle School, High School, College, and Professional athletes, as well as our weekend warriors, garage gym athletes, golfers trying to maintain their swing into their later years…and anyone else looking to improve their athletic abilities.
Can I drop my kids off?
Yes, you can. As long as you pick them up. 😉
What should I (my child) bring to the first session?
Water bottle, towel and a willingness to be awesome 🙂
Basketball
Are there adult Basketball Skills Classes?
If there is enough interest, absolutely. That would be really cool and we would be honored to open up some time slots for adults to work on their game. Let us know if you’re interested.
Can I just show up and play basketball?
Day passes, memberships, and packages are available for purchase at the door but we have specific times during the day for Open Court (pick-up) Basketball. Please check our schedule for Open Court hours and availability.
Training
Do you have personal (1-on-1) training?
Absolutely. Our goal is to give each client the attention they need to complete their programs correctly, safely, and at the right intensity. If, for any reason, that requires more attention, one of our trainers would be happy to work with you 1-on-1. Contact us for more information.
Should I sign up for an assessment with a trainer before I start training?
Home Court Training Center offers each client a free health and fitness assessment to fully understand the needs of everyone that joins our training groups.
This is not a mandatory step that each client should take before training with us, it is completely optional, but it will help educate the client AND the training staff to the individual needs of members so that we can tailor each workout to best fit each client.
Assessments usually last one hour and include goal setting, a review of previous injuries or limitations, measurements, a Functional Movement Screen (FMS), gait analysis, and flexibility tests.
This is a great way for new clients or clients currently dealing with an injury or pain to make sure you’re working out the right way. If you’re interested please contact us to schedule your assessment.
How much does it cost to take training classes at Home Court?
Take a look at our hassle-free pricing on the website program pages or on our Home Court Training Center app.
Nutrition
Do you have nutrition coaching?
Yes, we do. Contact us to request a nutrition consultation and one of our nutrition coaches will get back to you as soon as possible.
Will I get a diet plan?
The vast amount of literature and research, combined with our own experience, has shown us that giving someone a diet plan rarely works for long-term health and fitness results. Our nutritional approach is to work with each individual to create healthier habits.
If we can turn the focus towards making one healthy change to the client’s daily or weekly routine at a time, the results usually speak for themselves.
So instead of handing our clients cookie cutter diet plans that get followed for a week or two then stuck to the fridge until forgotten, we teach our folks the nutritional science and habits that will transform the way you approach cooking and eating.
